I truly believe that.” She also enjoys reading – anything and everything; mostly news stories and blog sites saying “any information is good information.”
Jessie expressed here gratitude for being selected Employee of the Month as follows:
“Since I may not have the opportunity to personally thank everyone and because May is a month of accomplishment for me, I would like to take the opportunity to thank every staff and faculty member. It is a wonderful environment to work in when you are constantly being motivated and encouraged. In all honesty, I feel that the credit for my professional performance should go to all those who have lead me through my academic and professional journey. I truly feel that I am the product of the expertise of those who have instructed me throughout the last few years. Please -- please, take a moment and pat yourself on the back. YOU are why I have been able to gain your respect and confidence. You are My inspiration.”
Following are excerpts from the nominations that served as the basis for Jessie‘s selection as Employee of the Month:
“I would like to nominate Jessie Wass for Employee of the Month. She has always been very helpful to staff and faculty here at the Caperton Center, as well as, the Technology Division faculty in the main building. Any time that we have had computer problems such as with GroupWise, Banner, etc. she has been quick to respond to our needs. Her computer skills are excellent. If Jessie doesn’t know the answer, she will find out what it is and get right back with us. Even though we are sometimes not sure she is the correct person to take care of our problem, we can go to her and she will work on it and find a solution. Her attitude is very positive. She always wears a smile and is happy to help. We don’t see her in person as often as we have in the past, but know that she’s available when needed. I feel that Jessie is an excellent nominee for Employee of the Month.”
“I would like to nominate Jessamine Wass for Employee of the Month. She has been very helpful to me as well as others in the Technology Division and Wood County Schools whenever we have problems. She has gone out of her way to come over to assist with problems and is very helpful and knowledgeable. She is an asset to WVU at Parkersburg.”
