Employee of the Month for October

George Ambrose

Congratulations to George Ambrose,  WVU at Parkersburg Campus Service Worker, who has been selected as Employee of the Month for October! 

George has been a member of the WVU Parkersburg – Physical Plant staff since April 1, 1987.

George lives in Parkersburg, WV, with his wife.  He has two daughters, two grandsons, and three granddaughters.  In his free time Ron enjoys watching sports on TV and outdoor activities including hunting and gardening.

Following is an excerpt from the nominations that served as the basis for George’s selection as Employee of the Month:

 “I would like to take this opportunity to nominate George Ambrose, from the custodial department, for Employee of the Month.  George is one of the people we almost never see, but his work results are always noticeable. 

George does his job like the Energizer Bunny; he just keeps going and going and going.  He has a smile for anyone that would happen to see him, and he has been a fixture at West Virginia University at Parkersburg for many years.

I think George is as deserving as anyone at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.  Thank you for your consideration.”
