Children's Author.  Joseph Bruchac, author of 70 books and award-winning storyteller, shared his Native American heritage with second-graders from Belmont and Lubeck schools and Young Authors of Wood County during presentations at WVU Parkersburg Monday (May 19).  His visit was a cooperative venture by the Education Division's Partnership Project and the Wood County Reading Council.  Members of the WVU Parkersburg Reading Association also engaged the children in interactive sessions, and Mike Oldaker had books available for sale.  Back row, left to right: Sue Ellen Johnson, Martha McGovern, Paige Gossett, Derek Oldfield, and Rose Hammell; front row, left to right: Joseph Bruchac, Tyler Lawrentz, and Lois Meadows.  (Photo by Dennis Bell)
