Congratulations to Sandi Smith, Transfer Coordinator, for WVU at Parkersburg’s Records and Admissions Office. Sandi has been selected as Employee of the Month for March.
Sandi worked as Records Assistant and Admissions Secretary from November, 1995 to September, 1997 at WVU Parkersburg in the Records and Admissions Office. She is now the Records and Admissions Transfer Coordinator. She holds an associate's degree from Fairmont State University and a Regents Bachelor of Arts from WVU Parkersburg.
Sandi has been an active member on many of WVU Parkersburg committees which includes receiving the Contributions Award, Selected Staff Member of the Year (by students), Employee of the Month : April 1997, August 1999, & November 2001. She served on Staff Council as Area Representative and Secretary/Treasurer 1997-2003. She has served on various committees and participated in fundraisers. Sandi served as chair of the Staff Development Committee, is a current member of Social Justice Committee and served as Social Justice Committee secretary last year, She is also a member of the WVUP Relay For Life team.
Sandi and her husband Floyd have been married for 12 years and live in Davisville. She has two stepchildren, Brandon, 18, and Hannah, 15. In her free time, Sandi enjoys scrapbooking, reading, snow skiing and collecting Longaberger baskets.
Sandi expressed her gratitude for being selected Employee of the Month and added “Thank you for selecting me as Employee of the Month. I feel blessed to work with such wonderful and caring people.”

“I would like to nominate Sandi Smith for employee of the month. Sandi handles all of the transcript evaluation/posting at WVUP which includes credits from other institutions, CLEP, credit-by-exam, ACE, and EDGE. Her tasks are very involved and performed "behind the scenes" so a lot of people do not understand the magnitude of her work load. She is always willing to help others and has excellent customer service skills. Sandi has been very involved with Staff Council and has served on various committees. She is currently serving on the Social Justice Committee and helps plan various campus activities. Sandi is an asset to the Admissions & Records Office and to WVU Parkersburg. She is a well deserving candidate of this honor.”
