July Employee of the Month
Kevin Offenberger

Congratulations to Kevin Offenberger, Purchasing Inventory Technician, who has been selected as Employee of the Month for July!
Kevin has been a member of the WVU at Parkersburg Purchasing Department since June, 2005. He is presently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
Kevin and his wife Betsy live in Mineral Wells. They have three children, a daughter Tiffany, 12 and two sons, Jeffery, 6 and Chase, 3 month old. In his free time Kevin enjoys football, golf, racing, WVU sports, bowling, softball and singing karaoke. He also enjoys cooking, yard work and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Kevin expressed his gratitude for being selected Employee of the Month by saying “I am honored to be named Employee of the Month. I have enjoyed working the last three years at West Virginia University at Parkersburg and working with the fine people at this university.”
Following is an excerpt from the nominations that served as the basis for Kevin’s selection as Employee of the Month:
“I would like to respectively submit Kevin Offenberger for Staff Council Employee of the Month. Mr. Offenberger serves as Purchasing and Inventory Technician in the Business Office. Mr. Offenberger works very hard and performs his duties with great efficiency and professionalism. Many times Mr. Offenberger will go above and beyond to render assistance and his expertise to benefit the University as a whole. On a daily basis Mr. Offenberger has to brave searing heat, the brutal cold, gale force winds and torrential downpours to procure materials and supplies for the University. Mr. Offenberger greatly surpasses the standards and expectations of a Classified Staff member of West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
The Employee of the Month program is sponsored by the WVUP Staff Council. Nominations may be submitted to Karen Branham in accordance with the guidelines established by Staff Council.
