Student Counseling. The Dean of Students Office and Student Services Division welcome Westbrook Health Services to campus. Westbrook will provide short-term, emergency, and/or crisis counseling, consultations and assessments to WVU-P students. Westbrook will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 1205. Technology Conference The WV Higher Education Technology Conference will be held Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Morgantown.  Theme is "Technology in Higher Education - Challenges, Strategies, Innovations."  This new conference will bring together state experts to connect, discuss, and learn about the latest in technology and the future of education. Office Relocations.  The Humanities Division Office is now located in Room 1020 and  the Business/Economics Division Office is in Room 1018.  (Submitted 2.19.08)

Lower LTD rates.  The Standard Insurance Company's Long Term Disability rates changed, effective Feb. 1st. Employees enrolled in Standard's plan should see a decrease of between 3-5% when both the annuity and the monthly income benefit are combined.  (Submitted by Peggy Jameson 2.18.08)

Office Supplies Missing.  Someone on campus was delivered a box of office supplies that did not belong to them. If you received a box of supplies from Parkersburg Office Supply that you did not order, please let Purchasing know.  (Submitted by Kevin Offenberger 2.18.08)

Benefits.  Medicare Part B and PEIA: What to do when turning age 65?  A common question asked by older employees deals with what to do if you reach age 65 and become eligible for Medicare while still working at WVU.  MORE  (Submitted by Peggy Jameson 2.18.08)

AED/CPR Training.  An AED/CPR training is scheduled for Feb. 21 at 8:30 a.m.. Only 15 slots are available. If you are interested in taking the course, please notify Pamela Santer, Wellness Director, at ext. 205, office 1206.  (Submitted by Pamela Santer 2.13.08)

Breakfast Basket.  Staff Council is raffling a Valentine Breakfast basket. Tickets may be purchased in the Library. One ticket, $1 or 14 tickets for $5. Drawing will be Thursday at 2 p.m.  (Submitted by Linda Cutright 2.12.08)

Employee of the Month.  Congratulations to Pat Mollohan, program assistant I. Pat has been selected as Employee of the Month for February. 

Relocations.  The Graphics and Institutional Advancement offices are now located in Room 1107 and 1109, respectively.  The Evening Administrator is in Room 1116 and the Welcome Center is temporarily housed in Room 1114.  (Submitted 2.07.08)

Just a Reminder. Tickets for Ellie Mannette and WVU's Symphony in Steel are still available. Don't forget that WVU-P faculty and staff may purchase special advance tickets for themselves and one guest for $5 each in the business office. Tickets at the door are regular price. Video Premiere.  WVU Parkersburg is premiering a new video which is streamed from the college web site.  Visit www.wvup.edu to view it.  The 60-second video can also be v-mailed to potential students or others interested in the college.  (Submitted 2.6.08)

Spring Musical.  The WVU Parkersburg Theatre Department will present the musical “They’re Playing Our Song” at 8 p.m., Feb. 15-16 and 2 p.m., Feb. 17 in the college theatre.  Admission is free.  The musical is under the direction of Jeff Byrd; musical director is Dr. H.G. Catering Requisitions.  Please ensure that when reservations are verbally made with AVI catering services that a requisition be prepared prior to the event and given to Purchasing.
