Humanities Professor Contributes to Recognized Work

Dr. Nancy Nanney, chair of the Humanities Division, contributed 14 entries on Malaysian theatre (traditional and modern) to the new two-volume Encyclopedia of Asian Theatre (2007). 

Edited by Samuel L. Leiter, distinguished professor emeritus, City University of New York, and published by Greenwood Press, the encyclopedia was selected as one of the "Outstanding Academic Titles" of 2007 by Choice magazine.  

In addition, the encyclopedia appears on the 2008 list of "Outstanding Reference Sources" for small and medium-sized libraries as announced by the Reference and User Services Association, a division of the American Library Association.

The publication comprises entries by 95 international writers.
