Employee of the Month for August

Nancy Hindy

Congratulations to Nancy Hindy, Program Assistant, for West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s Human Resources Department.  Nancy has been selected as Employee of the Month for August! 

Nancy began working in September, 1976 a clerk in the Business Office at Parkersburg Community College.  She left after 41/2 years when her son Nathan was born.  Nancy came back to West Virginia University at Parkersburg on March 1, 2000, exactly twenty years later, as a part-time Administrative Secretary in Human Resources.  On March 16, 2007, Nancy became a full-time Program Assistant in Human Resources.

 Nancy lives just outside of Parkersburg with her husband Ray, in an earth berm home that they built twenty four years ago.   They have a twenty-eight year old son, Nathan.

In her spare time, Nancy loves to read, play cards and watch movies.  She also enjoys decorating and watching HGTV , “where,” she says, “unfortunately for my husband, I get even more decorating ideas.”

Nancy wishes to thank everyone for selecting her has the Employee of the Month.

“We would like to nominate Nancy Hindy for Employee of the Month.  Her professionalism is an asset to the Human Resources Office.  She always has a positive, upbeat attitude and a kind word for everyone.  She is willing to help you in any way she can.  She is definitely a morale booster when you are having a bad day.”
