  • What you will learn:
    At WVU Parkersburg, you will learn from professionals with real-world criminal justice experience. In the advanced classes, classroom learning is coupled with hands-on training to give you the complete educational experience.

    Students gain a full understanding of how criminal justice systems operate and how the constitution applies in the field. Internships at a criminal justice agency are recommended.  All of this, plus involvement in our active clubs and organizations, ensures that you're on the right track to a successful career in criminal justice.

  • What you will learn:
    Professionals in the legal field will cover such topics as legal research, torts, criminal and constitution law, ethics in legal studies and contract law. These programs will prepare you for a rewarding career in the legal field or provide you with base knowledge to move on to more advanced degrees. Students in the AAS and BAS programs will gain experience in the Legal Studies Internship Program.
