The WVU Parkersburg Student Government Association (SGA) along with interim Senior VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Rose Beebe, interim Dean of Academic Success Dr. Cindy Gissy and Coordinator of Career Services & Cooperative Education Jennifer Randolph participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

The viral campaign helps raise awareness of the progressive neurodegenerative disease, often called “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” while also raising donations to find effective treatments and a cure. The Ice Bucket Challenge has raised $94.3 million since July 29 for ALS medical research.

Participants challenged the WVU Parkersburg Culinary Academy and the West Virginia University Student Government Association.
